We've just completed a full update of one of VVG's key datasets; the Water Management Information System (WMIS) database from the Victorian Department of Energy, Environment and Cimate Action (DEECA). Over the last few months we have been working closely with the department on a process to include recently drilled (licenced) bores from the Victorian Water Register into our updates (Note: Prior to 2017, these bores were included in WMIS).
This update includes all new bore (and associated) information since the last full update in 2017 totaling around 12,000 new bores. Please note that new monitoring data (bore levels and quality) is only available for bores managed by the WMIS team. Although the majority of new bores from the Water Register are 'unmonitored', at the moment there are likely to be a number of bores which may be monitored but not marked as such in our system e.g. those bores managed by Water Authorities and Catchment Management Authorities. We will continue to work with the relevant parties to improve this over the next few months. As usual, please let us know if you notice any problems.
The VVG Team.
